PIPPA Lambourne
Pippa studied music at the University of East Anglia, continuing her teacher training at Canterbury Christchurch before going on to full-time teaching at Highsted Girls Grammar (Sittingbourne) where she was Head of Music and part of the primary outreach team. She is now the Head of Music at Trinity School in Sevenoaks.
A former Lydian violinist and leader of the Orchestra from 2012-14, Pippa has worked with youth music organisations since a teenager when she volunteered at her local music centre and then for the 'In Harmony' project in Norwich whilst at the UEA.
RACHEL BALCOMBE
Rachel has been involved in ensembles around the area from a very young age, herself playing in the Lydian Training Orchestra in the 1990s. Having studied music at Leeds University, majoring in vocal performance, Rachel is now Head of Music at the Judd School and also works as a vocal coach at the JPA Academy.
She is a multi-talented musician, having performed with the National Youth Chamber Choir and National Youth Choir, and is an accomplished violinist, oboist and accompanist.
Rachel also directs TYMS wind ensemble.
FRASER BOWLES
A long-standing member of the Lydian Orchestra, Fraser was soloist in the Elgar Cello Concerto on their tour to Germany in 2013. Fraser completed his masters degree at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama after studying at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for his undergraduate studies.
Alongside Fraser’s classical work, he has performed with artists and bands such as Alter Bridge, Bring Me The Horizon, dodie, and Eminem.
Serena Evans
Serena has been an avid ensemble player since childhood, playing with Lydian orchestra and continuing on to play and conduct the University of Southampton Symphony and Chamber orchestras.
Since studying music at University of Southampton, majoring in conducting and violin performance, Serena went on to teach with Southampton music services and since moving back to Tonbridge works as a private violin teacher.
